Depart from Ollantaytambo and travel high into the Patacancha Valley, passing farms, Inca terraces, and mountain landscapes before arriving in a rural Quechua village.

Learn the Full Weaving Process

Artisans will guide you through the full weaving process:

• spinning alpaca or sheep wool by hand
• natural dyeing using local plants and materials
• weaving on a traditional backstrap loom

You’ll gain a clearer understanding of how textiles are created and the role they continue to play in Andean life and tradition.

Try Weaving Yourself

Receive one-on-one instruction from the artisans and create your own woven piece, such as a bracelet, using traditional techniques.

Stay Overnight with a Local Family

Stay with a local host family and spend time sharing meals, conversation, and daily activities within the community.
